STRATEGINEWS.Id, Jakarta – The Panel of Judges at the Corruption Crime Court (Tipikor) Central Jakarta District Court (Jakpus) sentences three defendants in a corruption case trade-based export credit scheme (SKEBP) for beef and crab at PT Surveyor Indonesia.
The three defendants are former Operations Director of PT Surveyor Indonesia Bambang Isworo, former President Director of PT Synerga Tata Internasional Lukmanul Hakim Lubis, and former Head of the Institutional Strengthening Business Sector of PT Indonesian Surveyor Anjar Niryawan.
In the trial decision, Bambang Isworo was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment and a fine of IDR 1 billion, with the provision that if the fine was not paid it would be replaced by one year’s imprisonment. Bambang was also sentenced to an additional penalty of paying compensation in the SKEBP cattle case amounting to 10,202,585.05 US dollars; 2,433,934.24 Singapore dollars; and IDR 55,177,770.96 and in the SKEBP crab crab case amounting to 1,512,274.56 US dollars.
Furthermore, against Lukmanul Hakim Lubis, the panel of judges sentenced him to five years’ imprisonment and a fine of IDR 1 billion, subsidiary to one year’s imprisonment. Meanwhile, Anjar Niryawan was sentenced to four years in prison and a fine of Rp. 1 billion, subsidiary to one year.
The panel stated that he was legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act of participating in a criminal act of corruption. Apart from that, Anjar was sentenced to additional punishment to pay compensation to the state amounting to IDR 47,083,924. In other words, based on the decision of the Corruption Crime Court at the Central Jakarta District Court.
Rabo Bank Singapore bills and DBS Bank Singapore bills to PT Surveyor Indonesia are the personal responsibility of defendant Bambang Isworo, so they are no longer the responsibility of PT Surveyor Indonesia.
For your information, in the period 2016-2018 the three defendants worked together to realize SKEBP beef activities and crabs that did not comply with the Company’s provisions by making PT Surveyor Indonesia the guarantor for bills to Rabobank Singapore (SKEBP Sapi) and DBS Singapore (SKEBP Rajungan) for business activities carried out by the suspects, resulting in state financial losses. As the reporting party in this case, PT Surveyor Indonesia respects the decision made by the Panel of Judges at the Corruption Crime Court (Tipikor).
“This decision is considered positive after years of fighting to restore the company’s good name,” said the Corporate Secretary of PT Surveyor Indonesia, Widiani, who was present at the decision hearing accompanied by attorney Dr(c) H. Hermawan S.H, MH from the Hermawan and Partner Law Office as reported by Elshinta Reporter, Rizki Rian Saputra, Thursday (5/10)
Widiani further explained that in the process that has been ongoing so far, management has completely handed over the handling of this case to law enforcement officials and supports the process.
This is in line with the BUMN clean-up program to implement healthy corporatization by implementing good corporate governance. “Management has also strengthened the internal monitoring system to prevent abuse and other unlawful acts,” he concluded.
